Vampire Facial

"Vampire Facial"

Our skin rejuvenation treatment called a “Vampire Facial” is one of the best  because it uses the patient’s own blood. To enhance healing, here plasma platelets are taken from the patient and injected to the affected areas.

Platelets are cells in the bloodstream that enable blood to clot. Platelets release enzymes when a clot forms. These enzymes boost healing and help in tissue regeneration by drawing stem cell to the affected area.

The Vampire Facial starts when the clinician takes a sample from the patient’s blood. It is then removed of the vampire facial. This plasma is then injected in key areas of the patient’s skin using Microneedling technology.

These injections stimulate the production of collagen, as well as the creation of new cells rich in human growth elements. This allows skin to heal itself and creates younger, firmer and more flexible skin.

With minimal downtime, the Vampire Facial brings new life to patient’s skin.

What Does the Vampire Facial Look Like?

The Vampire Facial is performed using an advanced Microneedling device. It allows clinicians to rejuvenate the skin without any invasive procedures. This device creates microchannels in key areas of the skin, where the clinician injects platelet-rich plasma.

Our clinician at BODY CLINIX will conduct a thorough consultation. This is where you can discuss your medical history as well as your goals and expectations for the Vampire Facial. The consultation can be done the same day, but the treatment will follow these steps:

  • Preparation The treatment area is meticulously cleaned and prepared
  • Drawing Blood: The clinician takes approximately 2 teaspoons from your arm vein.
  • Separating Plasma and Blood: The blood is placed in a centrifuge for approximately 10 minutes. This rotates the blood at high speed. The platelet-rich plasma, which weighs less than the rest of blood, rises to the top and can be removed easily.
  • Anaesthesia: If necessary or requested by the clinician, a topical anaesthetic may be applied to the treatment area to provide greater comfort and ease during the procedure
  • Treatment: The clinician will first use the Microneedling device to perform a Microneedling procedure, and then apply the platelet rich plasma to the area. Microneedling device creates micro-channels which allow for direct access to the deeper skin layers, thereby promoting healing.
  • The Best Results: Most patients will see best results after three treatments spaced a month apart. However, for some patients, one treatment may be sufficient.
  • Patience is Required: Platelet rich plasma contains growth factors which prompt the skin’s release of stem cells. The cells create new cells and new blood vessels, healing the wound like a wound. The new collagen takes around 30 days to fully regenerate. It takes time before your skin can regenerate itself.
